Prosthetic Treatment

An important task of prosthetic therapy is the rehabilitation of the whole so-called stomatognathic system, that is restoring the full function of food chewing, muscular-neurological balance, change or rather restoration of the proper, age-appropriate facial physiognomy. Movable prosthetic restorations do not constitute an organic unity with a living organism as in the case of implants. They are foreign bodies, but they play damaged or lost teeth, impaired oral functions, and an unsightly appearance. Dental prostheses are medical and rehabilitation devices. The truth is that regardless of technological advances in the field of prosthetics, the prosthesis will always be a foreign body in the mouth. Therefore, do not neglect our teeth to avoid losing them. Prosthetic treatment is planned on the basis of accurate digital x-ray diagnostics and auxiliary models. The choice of the type of restoration depends on the determined quality, number and placement of teeth and their mutual short-circuit relationship. The following types of repairs are distinguished:

  • permanent and movable prostheses.
  • And permanent dentures are:
    • Crown and Crown Root Inserts:

The first ones are used to fix the structure of a tooth with live pulp after its proper preparation. They can be made of composite or ceramic. The second consists of two elements: the root part – the retention bristle and the coronal section, which restores the missing tissues of the crown of the tooth. In the case of the preserved tooth structure, reconstruction of the damaged tooth structure can be considered with the use of standard inserts made of hard or unpolymerized polymer glass fibers, which can be shaped by adapting the insert to the appropriate occlusal conditions. In the case of the destruction of almost the entire tooth crown, it is essential to maintain a circumference of approx. 2 mm to increase the adhesion of the future prosthetic crown to the tooth. We restore lost tooth tissue using a cast of metal or zirconium. :

Veneers and cosmetic crowns

Veneers and cosmetic crowns made by the classical method or according to CAD / CAM technology. It is advisable to improve the aesthetics or supplementation of missing hard dental tissues to restore the chewing function. Cosmetic crowns can be made of:

1 / ceramics based on metal

2 / ceramics full

3 / ceramics on the foundation of zirconium
